Time’s almost up for the great Northern film critic – and my proud papa – Michael Coleman and his movie ridden time at the "Vancouver International Film Festival 2014." So in a final review filled article here’s a few last notable movie nuggets reviewed for your future film pleasure. Take it away daddyo!
SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS
"The Vancouver Asahi" - Vancouver in pre-WW2 era when many Japanese immigrants came seeking a better life, but like in most countries they are subjected to suspicion, fear and racism. Both a moving and uplifting tribute, it is a study of sport (baseball) and how it rises above the bigotry. Well directed and hopefully will resonate with a wide audience. 4/5 stars
